Principal, Change Management, New York

As a Principal in our New York office you will be responsible for:
Delivering client engagements
Lead multiple large/complex client projects and engagements, managing teams of blended client and Gate One resources
Apply deep business transformation and change management expertise, building trust with clients and navigating complexities
Build senior client relationship, acting as a trusted advisor for the account
Quality assure engagement deliverables and support more junior team members to deliver against client requirements
Ensure compliance across all aspects of the set up, management and close of projects
Business Development
Proactively generate BD meetings and shape new opportunities within new and existing clients as the pursuit lead
Lead complex bids, proposals and senior BD meetings
Lead account management plans within a sector, capability or account
Lead networking and marketing events, grow own personal network
Building the business:
Lead a strategic priority for Gate One and build an internal team to support this
Lead knowledge sharing and knowledge management activities
Play a key role in recruitment for Analyst to Manager roles
Demonstrate strong people management capabilities as a PDL or mentor, supporting the professional development of others
Provide coaching for the development of more junior colleagues
We will be looking for you to demonstrate:
Experience at a top-tier management consultancy firm, most likely currently operating at Senior Manager/Principal grade
A proven ability to lead large, complex transformation projects, especially those involving organisational change. Deep expertise in change management is essential
Experience of playing a major role key client account development, generating and converting new opportunities
Sector experience in life sciences as well as some understanding of the marketing function would be advantageous
Experience in coaching, mentoring and performance management of more junior colleagues
Experience leading and coaching large teams of consultants on programmes, including client resources
Strong client relationships skills, with the ability to take the day-to-lead on managing engagements and growing accounts
Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written and listening).
A self-starter mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional client outcomes
Desire to be visible leader in Gate One, connected to growth priorities and the business plan

Our compensation philosophy aligns with our values and goes back to why we founded Gate One. We believe in pay equity. Our structure was designed to be simple and transparent. This means that people at the same level receive the same base salary and comparable progression opportunities. We also offer a bi-annual bonus: a transparent profit share linked to company performance, plus a personal bonus that allows you to be rewarded for your contributions. Additionally, we offer an uncapped sales bonus to all Gate One employees. For this role, the base salary is $220,000.
